Job DescriptionAs a Compliance Officer, your primary responsibility will be to support and enhance the compliance framework for our clients. This includes:
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including ACRA, MAS, and AML/CFT requirements;
- Overseeing client onboarding, performing due diligence and KYC checks in line with regulatory standards and company policies;
- Developing, reviewing, and updating internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory changes;
- Conducting risk assessments on clients and business activities to identify potential compliance risks and proposing mitigation strategies;
- Implementing and maintaining a compliance monitoring program; reporting compliance issues and breaches to senior management, recommending corrective actions;
- Educating and training employees on regulatory compliance, AML/CFT requirements, and any updates in relevant policies and procedures;
- Assisting in preparing for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and processes meet audit requirements;
- Acting as the point of contact with regulatory bodies, staying informed of regulatory updates and ensuring timely filings and notifications.
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- A Degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field;
- Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or ICA (International Compliance Association) are a plus;
- At least 2 years of experience in compliance within a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) or financial services environment;
- Familiarity with Singapore's regulatory requirements for CSPs, including ACRA, AML/CFT, and MAS guidelines;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency in compliance software and MS Office Suite.
