Research Scientist - Life Sciences

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team in the field of life sciences. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is passionate about scientific research and wants to contribute to the development of new products and processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to optimize existing processes and develop new ones. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to optimize process yields and efficiency
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products and processes
  • Train and mentor junior staff members on laboratory procedures and equipment operation
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and quality

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (life sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a research or laboratory setting
  • Strong understanding of scientific principles and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with vaccine and/or viral vector production
  • Familiarity with stem cell and/or immune cell workflows
  • Understanding of culture conditions for common bioproduction cell lines
  • Knowledge of fixed-bed bioreactors or rocker bioreactors

  • Meet project milestones and deliverables
  • Number of scientific queries resolution
  • Quantified commercial/cost savings over time
