Artificial Intelligence Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

Job Description:

  • Teaching and Education
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and laboratories in Artificial Intelligence to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Assess students in the relevant discipline and provide feedback on their performance.
  • Develop and support academic programs and work with the academic team in the development of program change, innovation, and external accreditation.

Academic Leadership

  • Contribute to academic program development, unit development, and management activities of the School.
  • Actively contribute to the School's industry-engaged learning and research culture.

Research

  • Conduct high-quality research in Artificial Intelligence and publish papers in quality refereed journals.
  • Identify and promote collaborative research opportunities and contribute to the development of initiatives designed to enhance such links.

Student Mentoring

  • Supervise Masters by Research and PhD students in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Counsel students on academic matters and mentor them in industry-engaged learning placements.

Administration and Service

  • Undertake local unit coordination at Curtin Singapore.
  • Attend appropriate meetings and committees at the School level and discipline level at Curtin Singapore and Curtin Australia.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Doctoral qualification in Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body.
