Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our team in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our tunnel and viaduct infrastructure.This is a key role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of railway infrastructure maintenance.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies, managing a team of professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintenance StrategyThe Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.This includes monitoring the condition of tunnel and viaduct infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to address these issues.The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing maintenance budgets, resources, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies
  • Manage a team of maintenance professionals
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor the condition of tunnel and viaduct infrastructure
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these issues

Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • At least 8 years of experience in railway infrastructure maintenance (or 10 years in underground building structure maintenance)
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

Infrastructure Management - Responsible for planning and executing routine and preventive maintenance works on the infrastructures such as roads, bridges, tunnels and buildings Tunnel Monitoring - To ensure that all relevant data, such as tunnel depth, water levels, temperature etc. are recorded accurately. Asset Renewal Works - The selected candidate will oversee and supervise major asset renewal works. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be monitored to ensure project milestones achieved. Loa Requirements Compliance - Ensure the infrastructures comply with Local Authorities requirements. Risk Management tools will be used to establish hazards and their associated risks involved. To continually review and improve the maintenance strategy to ensure that the infrastructure is maintained cost-effectively without compromising the safety and integrity.
