The role of a Nurse Educator is pivotal in assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the continuing education, training, and professional development of nursing staff. This position adopts evidence-based approaches to design, deliver, and review nursing education programs, ensuring the development of competent, skilled, and patient-focused nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and identify the learning needs of nursing staff.
- Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate nursing education and training programs based on evidence-based practices.
- Facilitate orientation, continuing education, and competency-based training for nursing staff.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student nurses during clinical attachments.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure alignment of training programs with organizational goals and patient care standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, recommending improvements as needed.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Serve as a role model in clinical practice, professional conduct, and patient-centered care.
- Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Degree in Nursing.
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Education.
- 9–11 years of clinical nursing experience, including a minimum of 2 years teaching in a healthcare or nursing academic setting.
- Passionate and dedicated to nursing education and teaching.
- Proactive, motivated, and able to inspire learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
