Job Title:

A network automation professional will join a hybrid team of engineers focusing on automating network operations across terrestrial and satellite infrastructure.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior engineers to design and implement automation for network provisioning and change workflows.

  • Design and implement automation solutions for network provisioning and change workflows.
  • Built and maintain internal tools and scripts to support network deployment, configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code for repeatable network builds.

Responsibilities

Operations & Troubleshooting

The ideal candidate will integrate with network management platforms and controller APIs, assist with building CI/CD-style automation pipelines for network changes and compliance, maintain configuration templates and version-controlled network documentation, and perform Level 1-3 troubleshooting of network issues alongside senior engineers.

Performance & Monitoring

The selected candidate will administer inhouse network management platforms and systems to monitor bandwidth, latency, and packet loss, assist in supporting network deployments and service migrations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking technologies relevant to Kacific's hybrid infrastructure.

Automation

The successful candidate will write scripts and reusable modules to reduce manual effort and human error, leverage RESTful APIs to integrate with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and network controllers, and analyse operational tasks and propose automation to optimize troubleshooting, failover handling, or alerting.
