Bus Captain Job Description

As a seasoned transportation professional, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers across the island. Your expertise in navigating Singapore roads and traffic regulations is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our charter, school, shuttle, and corporate transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 23-seater bus, adhering to Land Transport Authority (LTA) and company regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle roadworthiness and cleanliness.
  • Transport passengers according to scheduled routes, charters, and ad hoc assignments.
  • Ensure punctual pickup and drop-off of passengers at designated points.
  • Maintain proper passenger discipline and enforce no-smoking and safety policies.
  • Provide courteous assistance to passengers, including elderly and children, when boarding/alighting.
  • Report incidents, accidents, or vehicle defects promptly to the operations team.
  • Keep accurate trip logs and records when required.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 Driving Licence.
  • Hold a valid Bus Driver's Vocational Licence (BDVL) issued by LTA.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' driving experience with medium buses preferred.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
  • Be physically fit with good eyesight and hearing.
  • Exhibit strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required.
  • Display pleasant personality with good communication skills.
