Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical conditions, functional abilities, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments, goals, and evidence-based practice.
  • Provide hands-on physiotherapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities.
  • Assess and manage residents' pain through various techniques, such as therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and heat/cold therapy.
  • Lead and supervise junior physiotherapy staff, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based rehabilitation programs and protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license or registration to practice as a physiotherapist in the appropriate jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience as a physiotherapist, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to develop individualized care plans.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
