The primary function of the Principal is to oversee and manage the educational and organisational aspects of a high school. This includes ensuring the quality of educational programs, student welfare, and professional practice of staff.
Main Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Provide direction and vision for the school, driving its mission and objectives forward.
- Education and Welfare: Foster a positive learning environment, promoting academic excellence and student well-being.
- Maintaining Professional Standards: Ensure that teaching staff adhere to high standards of professional conduct and best practices.
- School Ethos: Embed College values and philosophy within the school culture, promoting a sense of community and shared purpose.
- Implementation of Strategic Plan: Oversee the effective execution of the College Strategic Plan, driving progress and improvement.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged.
This role also encompasses operational responsibilities, including budget management, recruitment, and staff development. The Principal must lead by example, inspiring staff to continue developing their skills and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The school's Learning Program comprises academic, service, pastoral, and outdoor education components. The Principal will contribute to the smooth operation of the campus, effectively managing human and other resources.
