Job Title: Financial Services Manager, Fund Accounting

Salary: SGD $90,000 - SGD $120,000 per annum, depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial services professional to join our team as Financial Services Manager, Fund Accounting based in our Singapore office. As a key member of our Fund Accounting team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting and administrative support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the primary client service contact for assigned portfolio, monitoring and responding promptly to client requests and strengthening client relationships;
  • Main point of contact on a day-to-day basis for operational matters and critical issues that need to be addressed before work gets disseminated to other team members;
  • Reviewing financial statements, management accounts and accounting packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness;
  • Drafting wordings for disclosure purposes, adhering to IFRS/US GAAP accounting conventions;
  • Reviewing Capital Account Statements and Net Asset Values, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement;
  • Reading and understanding Fund documents, such as Subscription documents, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements, and explaining key terms to team members;
  • Reviewing capital call and distribution notices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Preparing and reviewing waterfall and equalization workings, maintaining accurate records;
  • Coordinating and dealing with Fund investors on meeting investor-specific reporting requirements;
  • Reviewing investor requests and ad hoc requests from clients, resolving queries efficiently;
  • Working closely with other teams, including Cash Management, Investor Services and Corporate Secretarial, to ensure overall operations run smoothly;
  • Providing formal and informal training to staff on accounting and private equity industry aspects;
  • Undertaking management and general administration tasks, as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accountancy (CPA/ACCA/ACA) or Finance or equivalent;
  • 7-8 years of accounting/auditing experience, with at least 4 years in Private Equity Fund industry, holding a management or supervisory role;
  • Solid knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS and US GAAP;
  • Effective client relations, teamworking and management skills;
  • Strong analytical, independent and resourceful mindset;
  • Familiarity with Investran accounting system and experience in process improvement viewed favorably;
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
