Key Responsibilities
  1. Professional Specialist: Acts as a professional specialist, applying in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts.
  2. Inspection and Reporting: Conducts routine surveys on classed ships, offshore installations, or marine assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements.
  3. Leadership and Coordination: Plans, schedules, and coordinates various phases of surveying work.
  4. Client Interaction: Engages with clients to solve problems within the area of expertise.
  5. Training and Development: Provides guidance and training to less experienced surveyors.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensures the maintenance of quality, content, consistency, and continuity of work performed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 8 years experience in the engineering or inspection/survey fields with an IACS member Classification Society.
  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the scope of classification, statutory certification, related services, and future work.
  • Ability to understand engineering plans and have a basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations.
  • Knowledge of ships' engineering systems and machinery.
  • Knowledge of related technical interfaces required for group project work.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Professional Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
