Job Overview

The KK Women's and Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Child Development Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the Department of Child Development, you will play a vital role in providing specialist diagnostic and intervention services to preschoolers with developmental, emotional, and/or behavioral needs.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to work with children who have a range of conditions such as autism, speech and language disorders, global developmental delay, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, selective mutism, oppositional defiant disorders. You will be responsible for conducting assessments for diagnosis, providing evidence-based psychological interventions to manage mood, anxiety, and behavioral issues, and working collaboratively with other professionals to deliver transdisciplinary services.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Conducting comprehensive assessments to diagnose autism and other developmental disorders
• Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans to support children's learning and development
• Providing evidence-based psychological interventions to address mood, anxiety, and behavioral issues
• Collaborating with occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, education therapists, nurses, and social workers to deliver transdisciplinary services
• Participating in research and service projects to improve outcomes for children and families

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical/Educational) with a practicum component
• Eligibility for Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) full membership
• Eligibility for registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP)
• Effective interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills, and good psychological report writing skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and in a fast-paced environment
• Preferably, experience working with young children (i.e., toddlers and preschoolers) and/or with children with autism

Salary
S$80,000 - S$120,000 per annum
