Job Title: Governance and Policy Specialist

Description:

The National Arts Council of Singapore is seeking a Governance and Policy Specialist to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening governance frameworks for funding initiatives, ensuring accountability and effectiveness.

\

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • \
  • Develop and maintain documentation on SOPs, toolkits, and guidelines for grant administration processes.\
  • Work closely with Internal Audit to review and strengthen internal controls, implement recommendations, and track resolution of audit observations.\
  • Coordinate external audit exercises on funded recipients, working with external auditors and Internal Audit on scope, reviewing outcomes, and recommending process/policy improvements.\
  • Strengthen organisational governance of arts charities through development of organisational health frameworks and/or other capability development programmes.\
  • Manage the Our Sg Grants portal, supporting both internal and external stakeholders, and driving process improvements.\
  • Track and analyse funding data and related metrics.\\: \

Requirements:

  • \
  • Experience in handling data, data analytics, and/or managing systems preferred.\
  • Experience in grant management, governance issues, risk management, and compliance matters preferred.\
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.\
  • Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating interpersonal skills such as empathy, persuasion, and negotiation.\
  • Strong analytical skills and judgement.\
  • Meticulous, organised, and process-oriented working style.\\: \
