Facilities Maintenance Expert

The primary role of a Facilities Maintenance Expert is to oversee the upkeep and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities within a compound. This involves assisting in maintenance tasks such as ensuring mechanical or electrical installations are functioning correctly.

  • Conduct regular checks on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with production teams to provide engineering support.
  • Detect and rectify faulty equipment, implement preventive maintenance techniques to reduce downtime.
  • Manage instrumentation calibration activities.
  • Responsible for overall facility maintenance and troubleshooting duties.
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
  • Relevant experience in electrical installation, PLC programming, and electrical maintenance is highly beneficial.
  • Experience in basic welding, piping work, and simple machining processes.
  • Proficient in computer systems.
  • Physically fit and capable of working flexible shifts.

The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise in maintenance and troubleshooting, along with experience in managing electrical installations and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
  • Preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Engineering support to production teams.
  • Participation in TPM initiatives.

Additional skills such as computer literacy and physical fitness are highly desirable.

Requirements:
  • Degree in a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).
  • Relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of electrical installations and equipment.
  • PLC programming skills (advantageous).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
