At Illumina, we are revolutionizing human health by harnessing the power of genomics. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing innovative genomics solutions that transform the way we diagnose and treat diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our experimental and bioinformatics teams to design and analyze experiments that support our oncology assays.
  • Develop and prototype algorithms for genomic biomarkers to meet novel molecular diagnostic needs.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal and external collaborators.
  • Participate in cross-functional assay and algorithm R&D teams with minimal oversight.
  • Effectively communicate plans and results across functions.

Requirements:

  • PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, math, or a related field.
  • Fluency in at least two of statistics, common bioinformatics methods, and NGS data analysis.
  • Experience with developing bioinformatics NGS algorithms and methodology.
  • Fluency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
  • Good communication skills to contribute to cross-functional project teams and work with stakeholders.
