We are seeking a talented and accomplished Associate/Assistant Professor of Health Informatics and Chronic Disease Epidemiology to join our faculty at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research, teach and mentor students, and contribute to the development of innovative public health interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pursue high-impact research in the area of chronic disease epidemiology and health informatics, leveraging the SG100K study and other datasets to identify key risk factors and develop evidence-based interventions.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with academic and industry partners to advance the utility of the SG100K dataset and contribute to the development of effective public health strategies.
- Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies into the curriculum.
- Participate in academic committees and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the growth and success of the school.
Requirements:
- PhD or MD degree in a relevant field, such as epidemiology, health informatics, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in conducting translational clinical research, preferably in the field of chronic disease epidemiology and health informatics.
- Experience working with large-scale population cohorts and health informatics data, including International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams, with a strong track record of publication and grant funding.
