Job Overview

Our organization is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee the construction of civil and structural works. This role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, construction drawings, and relevant regulations.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality work and adhering to good safety practices in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • They will attend all project meetings, including site, progress, variation, coordination, QAQC, etc.
  • Ongoing supervision of the construction of civil and structural works will also be a key responsibility.
  • The Resident Engineer will be expected to supervise and inspect M&E works, including concreting, pavement, drainage, compaction, curing of concrete, formwork, re-props, and removal of props.
  • Management and supervision of Resident Technical Officers under their charge will also be required.
  • Coordination with the safety team to provide an overview of WASH and aerodrome safety management systems and implementation of safe working practices on site will be necessary.
  • The successful candidate will ensure that construction works do not impact or affect client operations.
  • Adherence to client emergency preparedness protocols during trial runs or actual emergencies will also be essential.
  • Verification of reports and claims relating to M&E works submitted by contractors will be a key responsibility.
  • Quality control of work and materials delivered to the site, with corrective actions taken for any non-compliance, will also be a requirement.
  • Resolution of main contractors' queries and coordination of works onsite will be necessary.
