Job Title: Procurement Specialist

A procurement specialist is responsible for assisting in cost estimation, preparing and analyzing cost comparisons, and liaising with contractors and suppliers. The role involves obtaining quotations, preparing tender documents, and ensuring accurate measurement of quantities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cost estimation and future tender exercise
  • Prepare and analyze cost comparison together with senior procurement specialist
  • Liaise and negotiate with contractors and suppliers
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and contractors
  • Prepare and administer tender documents and do costing summary and price comparison
  • Evaluate progress work done and contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works
  • Perform all other procurement-related jobs

Requirements:

  • Qualification or Diploma in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant working experience in construction companies
  • Experience in building project management an advantage
  • Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Good team player, keen desire to learn, contribute, advance and progress with the company
