APAC Government Affairs Specialist

Are you passionate about creating a favorable legislative environment for the LEGO Group in APAC? We are seeking a skilled Government Affairs Manager to join our team and drive ambitious public policy priorities to support commercial growth and strengthen our corporate reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Asia Pacific government affairs team to develop and implement public policy strategies that support the LEGO Group's commercial goals.
- Lead critical policy workstreams for the APAC market group, working closely with global policy leads to drive policy priorities and enhance our reputation.
- Monitor policy developments, analyze risk and opportunities, and engage business partners to formulate engagement approaches that influence policy in priority markets.
- Develop advocacy submissions and engage government partners to advocate the LEGO Group's positions and preserve operating stability.
- Represent the LEGO Group in global policy working groups and support business partners to drive public policy goals and preserve commercial momentum.

We are the Government and Public Affairs team at the LEGO Group, enabling the company to thrive and grow through strategic engagement with governments and related partners. We work towards a favorable legislative and regulatory environment through comprehensive issues management, ensuring no surprises to our operating model.

Requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in public affairs, public policy, or a related field.
- At least 6-8 years of experience in government affairs, public policy roles, with corporate experience preferred.
- Active experience in direct engagement with government, developing position papers, and representing organizational priorities in industry fora.
- Understanding and interest in APAC ESG policies, trade policy, education policy, and environment policies.
- Strong communication skills in English, with proficiency in an additional Asian language a plus.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization with multiple partners across levels, including senior management.
