About the Department

The Group Strategic Communications and Brand department is responsible for protecting and promoting the UOB brand. We create and execute integrated communications strategies to promote awareness and understanding of the Bank's approach to supporting its corporate customers and the communities in which it operates.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and creative internal communications professional to maintain the Bank's editorial standards and quality of internal communications. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel to stakeholders on the recommended approach to creating content for integrated communications campaigns.
  • Set and maintain the Bank's editorial standards for internal communications.
  • Review internal communications content to ensure adherence to the Bank's style guide, tone of voice, brand guidelines, and editorial and multi-media standards.
  • Guide regional team members by providing direction and helping to review content.
  • Train Bank-wide content contributors on writing for the Bank's intranet.
  • Work with the Bank's Social Media team to repurpose internal communications content for external audiences where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the business impact of communications, with the ability to interpret business objectives and data.
  • A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English writing skills with the ability to bring ideas and narratives to life in a concise and engaging manner.
  • A keen eye for detail and passion for accuracy.
  • A recognised university degree with a minimum of years of relevant experience in an editing / copy writing role.
  • Effectively bilingual (spoken and/or written) in another Southeast Asian language would be a bonus.
