Senior Principal Reliability Engineer is a highly specialized role that requires expertise in ensuring the long-term reliability and robustness of high-voltage semiconductor devices and systems.
">The Senior Principal HV Reliability Engineer is responsible for developing and executing reliability qualification plans for HV semiconductor products, including GaN, SiC, HV CMOS, and BCD. This involves performing hands-on reliability testing, analyzing reliability data using statistical methods and modeling tools, and investigating failure mechanisms through electrical, physical, and chemical analysis.
- Develop and execute reliability qualification plans for HV semiconductor products.
- Perform hands-on reliability testing, including HTOL, HTRB, TDDB, and other stress tests.
- Analyze reliability data using statistical methods and modeling tools to predict product lifetime and failure rates.
- Investigate failure mechanisms through electrical, physical, and chemical analysis, such as SEM, FIB, and EMMI.
- Collaborate with design, process, and product engineering teams to implement reliability improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, such as JEDEC, AEC-Q100, and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain and improve reliability documentation, including FMEAs, control plans, and qualification reports.
- Support customer audits and provide technical responses to reliability-related inquiries.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires a strong understanding of HV device physics, failure mechanisms, and reliability testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' experience in semiconductor reliability engineering, with a focus on high-voltage technologies. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are also essential.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. You should also be familiar with reliability test equipment and data analysis tools, such as ReliaSoft, JMP, and Python. Additionally, you should have experience with automotive and industrial qualification standards, such as AEC-Q100 and ISO
