The inventory manager plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our organization by overseeing the effective management of stock and purchase order related data. This involves analyzing and optimizing allocation to achieve maximum efficiency.
One of the key responsibilities of the inventory manager is generating and analyzing reports to support demand forecasting, supply information, and making recommendations accordingly. This requires a deep understanding of concepts such as safety stocks, working stocks, and replenishment strategies to maintain a healthy balance between overstocking and stockouts.
Additionally, the inventory manager must ensure seamless coordination with various stakeholders including forwarders, customs, vendors, and warehouse teams. They must also be responsible for assisting daily operations with the ops team and warehouse.
Another critical aspect of this role is ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety and housekeeping requirements set by the organization. The inventory manager will work closely with relevant parties to establish an efficient demand and supply process.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include managing stock orders and allocations, maintaining healthy stock levels across stores, and performing any other duties assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years of working experience in commercial vehicle spare parts management or inventory control in the automotive industry.
- Experience with inventory control of thousands of line items is essential.
