Theoretical Physicist

Nanyang Technological University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will investigate the origin of large Thermal Hall effect in cuprate superconductors using advanced theoretical models and collaborate with experimentalists to validate results.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply theoretical models for magnon and phonon excitations in cuprate superconductors.
  • Analyze experimental data and draw conclusions about the role of phonons in cuprates and nickelates.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Physics or a related field.
  • Strong background in quantum many-body physics and quantum phase transitions.
  • Experience in developing and applying computational methods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
