Early Childhood Educator Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as an Early Childhood Educator. This key role involves providing high-quality care and education to infants and young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety and Well-being: Ensure a safe learning environment for children by adhering to health, safety, nutritional and hygiene standards and rules.
  • Social and Emotional Growth: Foster the social and emotional growth of children through engaging activities and play-based learning.
  • Education and Development: Implement core values of early childhood education through events and activities that promote learning and development in children.
  • Relationship Building: Establish trust and respect in relationships with children by being approachable, empathetic and supportive.
  • Teaching and Learning Approaches: Review and implement teaching and learning approaches that follow Curriculum Frameworks to ensure high-quality education.
  • Learning Environments: Create quality learning environments that stimulate curiosity, creativity and exploration in children.
  • Child Development: Understand the learning and developmental needs of young children (birth to age 8) and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Classroom Management: Manage classrooms effectively, documenting children's learning progress and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Possess a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Have relevant experience in working with young children, preferably in an early childhood setting.
  • Certifications: Hold certifications such as First Aid, CPR or other relevant qualifications.
