Career Opportunity: Occupational Therapy Specialist

This is a career opportunity to take on the role of an Occupational Therapy Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing interventions for patients referred for occupational therapy. The position requires participation in administration and professional education as needed.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent assessments and manage patients referred for occupational therapy.
- Implement appropriate treatment plans and adhere to clinical standards.
- Provide timely reviews of patients in the continuum of care.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support when necessary.
- Secondary Responsibilities:
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare members in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Participate in managing clinical and service initiatives.
- Assist in providing clinical education to occupational therapy students.
- Contribute to departmental in-service training programs and hospital educational talks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A recognized diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Interest in working in geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics (including hand therapy), and palliative care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well in a team and independently.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office software.
