Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Childcare Teacher. As a key member of our Centre, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.

Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children, developing and executing a developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum, and fostering a trusting and respectful relationship with our students.

You will also be responsible for building partnerships with families and the community, ensuring continuity of learning between home and the school environment, and actively contributing to our culture of collaboration and collegiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development:

Develop and implement teaching and caregiving activities aligned with Montessori principles and relevant curriculum frameworks.

Teaching and Caregiving:

Use the school's software management systems to streamline processes and tasks effectively. Design a quality learning environment with developmentally appropriate learning materials and resources.

Stakeholder Relationships:

Foster a culture of collaboration within the Centre through effective communication strategies. Identify opportunities to collaborate with families to ensure continuity of care and learning between home and the Centre.

Family and Community Programmes:

Develop and guide the execution of outreach activities to promote the Centre's programmes and services. Evaluate family and community initiatives and programmes for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A locally accredited qualification in Early Childhood Education and/or Montessori education qualifications or equivalent.
  • Advanced Certificate in Early Years (Category EY2)
  • Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (Category L1)
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (Category L2)
  • Graduates of Early Childhood Education certification courses are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates should score at least a 'B4' in O-levels English or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, high-energy, and high-charisma personality, capable of building strong relationships with families and community members.
  • Passion for education and is aligned to the mission of providing child-centered early childhood education.
