Job Title: Technical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Maritime IT Technician.

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for IT and AI technology. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct installation, crew training, and testing of systems onboard vessels calling Singapore.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to ensure optimal functionality of the systems.
  • Handle inventory and hardware orders.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously improve the performance and reliability of the systems.
  • Configure and test systems in house prior to deployment.
  • Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with vessel crews and engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Linux operating systems is a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as needed.
