Senior Investment Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Strategist to support our CIO in all aspects of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment management, private equity, venture capital, or operational roles. They will be responsible for conducting industry and market research to identify emerging investment opportunities, analyzing financial statements, building financial models, and assessing the financial health of potential investments.

In addition, they will assist in due diligence efforts, including financial, operational, and strategic evaluations of prospective investments. They will also prepare investment presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders, monitor portfolio investments, track key performance metrics, and assess risk management strategies.

As a Senior Investment Strategist, you will play a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams to support growth and operational objectives within portfolio companies. You will contribute to the management of ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio company management teams and third-party partners. You will also support the creation of investor presentations and quarterly updates, and liaise with external partners, advisors, and service providers to support investment activities and portfolio management.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred). You will also have 1-2 years of prior experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, or operational roles.

You will demonstrate strong financial modeling skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software. Previous experience with financial statement analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is also desired. Knowledge of private equity/venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, or asset management is beneficial. Familiarity with operational management and strategic business planning is also a plus. Familiarity with software tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or other financial data platforms is an asset.
