Job Summary:

The Part-Time Accounting & Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team with bookkeeping and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone organized, with accounting experience and strong multitasking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial data entry, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and payment follow-ups to maintain timely payments.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and maintain accurate records to inform business decisions.
  • Monitor and manage petty cash and expense claims to optimize company funds.

Administrative Duties:

  • Provide general administrative support, including phone calls, emails, and document filing to maintain organizational efficiency.
  • Maintain office supplies and handle inventory orders as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and team events to foster collaboration.
  • Support HR tasks such as employee documentation and leave management to ensure smooth personnel administration.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical records to facilitate easy access to information.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping; additional administrative experience is highly valued.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel, to efficiently manage tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy to maintain precise financial records.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication and ability to work independently to achieve objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field to enhance technical expertise.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a small to medium-sized business to demonstrate adaptability.

Working Arrangements:

  • Approximately 16-24 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of SGD $25-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience, to attract top talent and reward hard work.
