Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for handling Metal Stamping & Enclosure commodities for M&A sites globally. The job scope includes setting commodity strategies; collaborating with global suppliers on quality, speed, cost, and service levels to support factories' book-build-ship/customer demand requirements. This includes supplier sourcing, development, contracting, DPO, and cost negotiations. The role requires alignment with key design, operations partners, and the global commodity team in terms of purchasing and risk mitigation strategies, policies, and tactics to achieve objectives.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Active pursuit of cost savings via negotiation, consolidation, and leverage, and e-sourcing tools with key global supply chain strategic goals in mind.
  • Driving global supply chain matrices, including quality, speed, and cost.
  • Achieving supplier quality, delivery, lead time, and cost performance goals on key commodities for new and existing product programs.
  • Supporting the resolution of supplier supply chain-related problems and improving supplier manufacturing and business processes.
  • Identifying, researching, and implementing new materials and manufacturing technologies to improve the company's competitive position.
  • Leading supplier development and aligning with key internal/global partners.
  • Participating in division/corporate programs, including NMI, DPO, best cost country sourcing, direct buy initiatives, reverse auctions, corporate negotiations, inflation model, parts analysis, and contract management.
  • Supporting world area sites by providing pricing data, lead times, samples, catalogues, new designs, and market trends.
  • Conferring with quality assurance, development engineering, and marketing to clarify specifications and assure an accurate understanding of project requirements.
  • Establishing and maintaining rapport with critical suppliers to assure a high level of focus on total quality and cost efficiency.
  • Providing regionalization and risk mitigation input to ensure surety of material supplies.
  • Collaborating with key partners to understand business priorities and drive key improvement matrices.
  • Participating in key projects/initiatives to drive opportunities for improvement across the supply chain.
  • Planning and conducting regular business reviews with key suppliers to ensure aligned goals and business directions.
  • Providing management with regular recommendations/updates on commodity matrices performance and related commodity strategies moving forward.
  • Assisting tactical buyers with problem resolution and providing procedural mentorship.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in related supply chain functions of commodity management, supplier performance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding and trained in lean techniques; SPC, 6-Sigma, and process improvement tools.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or any related field.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
