Singtel - Senior Engineer, Virtualization & Wintel

Become a vital part of Singtel's diverse team, committed to creating a significant impact in the technology landscape. As the Senior Engineer specializing in Virtualization & Wintel, you will serve as the primary authority on Virtualization and Wintel technologies for both On-Premises and Cloud environments. Your role will encompass the design and implementation of Compute, Storage, and Virtualization frameworks for private cloud infrastructures, alongside providing advanced support, monitoring service quality, and spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and sustain infrastructures across on-premises data centers.
  • Deliver expert guidance on Virtualization infrastructure tailored for on-premises setups.
  • Collaborate with various technology teams to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
  • Oversee capacity planning for VMware and Windows environments.
  • Engage in Change Management processes, new infrastructure builds, and ensure compliance with security protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, along with relevant industry certifications.
  • 5-10 years of experience in designing corporate infrastructure, managing compute/storage operations, and developing infrastructure runbooks.
  • Proficiency in Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), Operating Systems (RHEL, Windows), and Compute/Storage solutions (Dell EMC, IBM).
  • Familiarity with Windows Operating systems, security enhancements, patch management, and automation techniques.
