Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing high-performance Oracle databases in production and development environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration: Manage and administer Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c, and newer) in production and development environments.
  • Performance Tuning: Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to ensure optimal database performance.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies (RMAN, Data Guard) to ensure business continuity.
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate routine database tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, or Ansible to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Patching and Upgrades: Apply patches, perform upgrades/migrations (on-prem and cloud), and manage version control to ensure database security and stability.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce database security, roles, and user access controls to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
  • Monitoring and Support: Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support application and system integration, and provide L3 support for escalated incidents.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
