Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies, policies, and guidelines for property and liability insurance to achieve profitability and growth objectives.
  • Monitor and manage the underwriting portfolio to ensure a balanced risk profile, minimizing claim costs while maintaining competitive pricing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and clients across Asian markets, tailoring solutions to local needs.
  • Collaborate with reinsurance partners to manage high-risk policies and align with regional strategies.
  • Ensure all underwriting practices adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and best practices, maintaining compliance with state and federal insurance laws.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in insurance, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in property and/or liability underwriting; track record of profitable book management, portfolio optimization, and large-account leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and analytics tools.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
