We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Developer to join our team in Singapore.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of secure and scalable backend infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality code that meets our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop secure and optimized APIs and backend logic using PHP.
  • Create and manage relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including schema design and complex query optimization.
  • Implement and maintain secure session handling, input validation, encryption, and access control mechanisms.
  • Conduct unit and integration tests and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Work with DevOps engineers to support containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain technical documentation, API schemas, and compliance-related audit logs.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in PHP 8+, Laravel or Symfony, and Composer package management.
  • Strong understanding of REST API design, secure backend architecture, and SQL performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with PSR standards, Git, and code versioning workflows.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and how to mitigate them in PHP applications.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or NoSQL (MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP.
  • PCI DSS project experience or ISO 27001 controls implementation.
