Job Description: Spa Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Spa Treatment Specialist to join our team at ONE SPA 1. As a key member of our spa team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional massage services to our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the spa treatment room, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
• Schedule guest appointments and maintain accurate records of bookings and cancellations, utilizing our state-of-the-art booking system.
• Arrange the workstation, treatment room, and drapes to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Promote massage services to spa members and guests, highlighting the benefits of regular bodywork therapy and encouraging repeat business.
• Monitor stock levels of oils and creams, maintaining par stock levels at all times to ensure an uninterrupted supply.
• Provide individualized bodywork treatments that meet the unique needs and expectations of each guest, adapting your techniques to suit their preferences and requirements.
• Be thoroughly familiar with and recommend spa products and treatments, as well as pertinent hotel information, ensuring that guests receive the best possible service.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about any conditions such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before beginning the service, prioritizing their health and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to standard operating procedures and industry standards.
• Stay up-to-date on hours of operation, memberships, reservations, fees, treatments, products, and merchandise, as well as pertinent hotel information, to provide guests with accurate and timely information.
• Set up and organize the workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials, reporting shortages to the supervisor and ensuring seamless operations.
• Familiarize yourself with all spa packages, promotions, prices, and rates, providing guests with detailed information and making informed recommendations.
• Ensure a high standard of service is maintained throughout the spa, exceeding guest expectations and promoting loyalty and retention.
• Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products, tailoring your techniques to suit their specific needs and preferences.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, using it only as intended and adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, regardless of the time of day, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times and keep client details and confidentiality, respecting their trust and confidence.
• Attempt to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and informing management about any incidents or guest complaints, addressing issues promptly and fairly.
• Handle emergency procedures and report any accidents to your manager and security, prioritizing guest safety and well-being.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior according to the Spa standard operating procedures for Inappropriate conduct for guests and therapists, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Frequently check with guests to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout the service, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
• Fill out necessary reports or data at the end of each session, accurately recording guest interactions and service delivery.
• Attend all scheduled meetings, classes, and training sessions, gaining knowledge required within the spa and passing it on to coworkers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Assist with washing and folding of all linens used in treatment rooms, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Assist in all areas of recreation and leisure operation as and when required, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall success of the spa.

Requirements:
• Process trade certificates such as ITEC, WSQ, CITAC, and others for Full Body Massage, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Possess relevant experience of at least two years as a spa therapist or masseur, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in bodywork therapy.
• Age between 21 and 50, meeting the physical demands of the role and possessing the energy and enthusiasm required to deliver exceptional service.
• Healthy and able to be proactive, maintaining a high level of physical fitness and mental well-being.
