Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist on the TikTok Search team, you will focus on developing and improving the search functionality to provide users with the most relevant results.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, leveraging machine learning and NLP techniques to enhance the search experience.

Deliverables

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to improve search result relevance.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to identify and prioritize features that drive user engagement.
  • Analyze user feedback and behavior to inform search engine improvements.

Requirements

For this role, we are looking for individuals with:

  • A bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field, such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, R, or Julia.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
