Physiotherapist Job Overview

As a physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries or manage chronic conditions. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Maintain consistent competency in your area of expertise by staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in physiotherapy.
  • Demonstrate professional accountability for all aspects of your work within the domain by adhering to relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive patient information.
  • Ensure completion of accurate patient documentation, records and statistics to reflect care provided and meet standards.
  • Provide clinical assessment, analysis and provision of clinical diagnosis autonomously for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention within specialist area.
  • Use evidence-based practice to plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care autonomously to maximize health status.
  • Manage complex and challenging cases in your area of specialty by employing advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain and manage department caseload / workload effectively and efficiently by prioritizing tasks, managing time and delegating responsibilities where necessary.
  • Communicate and make recommendations to healthcare team members, patients and family members to maximize patient care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of physiotherapy service modalities.
  • Orientate, supervise & advise staff when appropriate on patient care.
  • Work with other relevant healthcare teams on administrative responsibilities.
  • Educate patients on treatment procedures and use of different equipment.
  • Demonstrate professional and legal accountability for all aspects of work within the domain.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality patient care and provide good advice on physiotherapy services and allied health services.
  • Preferably experience with acupuncture, equipment and manual therapy.
