Electrical & Automation Technician Role

The position involves ensuring technical soundness in electricity, instrumentation, and automation maintenance activities.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support pilot plants to ensure electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems are functioning correctly.
  • Fault detection and repair involve electrical and control panels.
  • Provide engineering support for automation equipment and perform routine checks on operating parameters.
  • Manage service/operation/troubleshooting activities of aircon/HVAC systems.
  • Ensure processes and equipment are safe for people, products, and the environment according to local regulations.
  • Coordinate with Pilot Plant personnel, QA, Engineering, and Product departments to resolve electrical instrumentation and automation issues.
  • Facilitate continuous improvements and troubleshooting in facility building and pilot plant maintenance, including HVAC systems.
  • Monitor instrument and sensor calibration.
  • Maintain and update electrical and automation systems and documentation supporting pilot plant activities.
  • Optimize plant and equipment operation to reduce planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Demonstrate intolerance for unsafe situations, including food safety.
  • Manage, check, and follow Electrical Safety Standards.
  • Support the NPDI Process.
  • Introduce and implement new technologies in coordination with PTC Engineering.
Requirements for Success
  • A Diploma in Electrical and/or Instrumentation and/or Automation with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to work independently with initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Problem-solving and issue identification.
  • Solution finding.
