Job Title:
Audio Visual Technician required to set up, operate and maintain AV equipment within the school premises. Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up, operating and maintaining AV equipment for events, meetings and lessons.
  • Providing technical support for lighting, audio, video and stage requirements for events organized by the Authority or external organizations.
  • Supporting school staff in setting up AV equipment for events, meetings and lessons as required.
  • Assisting teachers with video recording of school events and lessons when required.
  • Supporting the management and operation of school digital signages.
  • Providing assistance to ICT staff with AV procurement and recommending new equipment purchases when necessary.
  • Working with the ICT Team in managing the school's AV resources, including condemnation of obsolete equipment and administering the loan of AV equipment.
  • Providing support with venue booking processes.
  • Assisting the ICT Team with asset management and during audits.
  • Performing routine inspections and maintenance of projectors, speakers, microphones and other AV equipment.
  • Conducting annual hardware maintenance, including troubleshooting and basic repairs of AV equipment.
  • Investigating, documenting and updating equipment faults, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Developing user guides for common AV setups where required.
  • Liaising with vendors regarding AV requirements, repairs and related matters.
  • Video creation and editing.
  • To assist with photography/videography and graphic design
  • To assist with managing the school's online presence.

 

Requirements:
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating and simple troubleshooting audiovisual equipment.
  • Familiarity with audio and video editing software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
