School Trip Operations Assistant

The French Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Parent Support and Services Department as a School Trip Operations Assistant. This role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the logistical and administrative aspects of school travels, outings, and extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities:

1. **Risk Management and Procedure Development**:
• Assist in drafting procedures, guidelines, and documents for risk management in school trips.
• Help design and develop comprehensive tutorials and training support for staff and students.
• Assist in implementing new procedures and propose innovative ideas to continuously improve risk management practices based on feedback and observed outcomes.

2. **Operational Assistance**:
• Participate in the organization and coordination of school trips, including logistical management, bus reservations, and meal arrangements.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrative staff, and service providers to ensure smooth execution of trips.
• Assist during school bus arrivals and departures to facilitate efficient and orderly processes, and work closely with the transport provider to maintain student discipline and ensure safety.

3. **Support for Various Projects**:
• Assist in various projects within the Parent Support and Services department, including bus inspections, canteen inspections, and other initiatives.
• Support administrative tasks as needed for efficient and effective operations, and help with department activities, including preparing documents and managing databases.

**Requirements**:
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
• Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive).
