Electrical Systems Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. This role involves overseeing the execution and management of electrical engineering services, including operation, maintenance, modification, replacement, and other activities under electrical engineering services.

As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting engineers or managers in overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling and coordination work. You will also manage day-to-day works for electrical systems, including High Tension Panels, LV Main Switchboards, Emergency Main Switchboards, Transformers, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), Generators, and all Sub-boards/Emergency Sub-boards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting engineers or managers in overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling and coordination work.
  • Managing day-to-day works for electrical systems, including High Tension Panels, LV Main Switchboards, Emergency Main Switchboards, Transformers, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), Generators, and all Sub-boards/Emergency Sub-boards.
  • Overseeing the performance of outsourced maintenance service providers and specialist vendors to ensure good maintenance standards are maintained and planned PM schedules are met.
  • Ensuring prompt service recovery for any breakdown of equipment and systems to minimize disruption to hospital service operations.
  • Assisting engineers or managers in overseeing and coordinating improvements projects to hospital services and facilities, as well as upgrading of systems and equipment components.
  • Providing advisory and support to the maintenance team in addressing and rectifying specialized system failures and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A diploma or higher Nitec/Nitec in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5-6 years of experience or ITE graduate with at least 8 years' electrical system experience for a senior position.
  • Familiarity with design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

This role requires excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving abilities.
