Job Title: Database Administration Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a skilled professional to design, implement, and maintain database systems that meet our organization's needs.

  • Database Design and Implementation:
  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure high performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Perform database backup and recovery operations.
  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure database integrity and security.
  • Implement data models and database designs based on business requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and support audits as needed.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies to recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, Database Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proficient in database languages such as SQL, and knowledgeable in platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with performance tuning, security practices, and data backup/recovery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
