About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Parts Planner to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our service parts are properly stocked and managed to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Parts Planning: Develop and implement effective service parts planning strategies to ensure that the right parts are in the right place at the right time.
  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data and future business trends to develop accurate demand forecasts and minimize inventory excess and obsolescence.
  • Inventory Control and Management: Manage inventory levels, turns, and obsolescence to optimize inventory performance and reduce costs.
  • Ramp Site Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute inventory preparation for new fab installations and ramp schedules.
  • Service Agreement Planning: Work with Field Service Organization to ensure that inventory is properly prepared for Service Agreement delivery performance.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action: Conduct thorough analysis to identify root causes of order delivery misses and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • KPI Management and Communication: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure inventory performance and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Planning Systems and Dashboards: Utilize ERP planning systems, inventory optimization software, and data visualization tools to analyze and improve inventory performance.
  • Integration and Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and communication of business requests and inventory plans.
  • Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement short-term solutions to critical escalations and identify opportunities for mid- and long-term process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or Business Administration.

  • 2-4 years of experience in service parts planning, inventory management, or a related field.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in ERP planning systems, inventory optimization software, and data visualization tools.
