Internal Communications Specialist

This role sits within a team and focuses on internal communications. You will shape and deliver clear, timely and inspiring communications that help build staff identity and drive employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will develop and manage internal communications channels such as the intranet, staff newsletter and internal social networking platforms, and create content for them by developing story angles, interviewing profiles, writing and storytelling to convey key messages.
  • You will also provide communications support for various initiatives, including events and community engagement activities.
  • Together with the team, you will ensure that communications are aligned with objectives, tone and style, and are timely and well-received.

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in communications or public relations
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written) with good writing and storytelling skills
  • Good grasp of new communication tools and trends, including digital platforms such as websites/intranet systems and social media
  • Able to structure content and package information to engage audiences on different communication platforms
  • Possesses an eye for design
  • Basic know-how in the use of design tools would be advantageous
  • Enthusiastic self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build positive relationships with multi-level stakeholders
  • Meticulous and pays attention to details
