We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Biomedical Research Scientist to join our Biomarkers & Data Analytics team at MSD Pharma (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
About the RoleIn this key position, you will be responsible for developing advanced AI-ML-based medical imaging analytics using large biobank datasets and clinical data to support the deployment of imaging biomarkers for drug discovery and development.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues, key stakeholders, and external research institutes and CROs to build, evaluate, and qualify image analytics tools for generating impactful data-driven insights and translatable biomarkers.
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and biomedical sciences to drive innovation and deliver significant value to our organization.
Main Responsibilities- Design and Develop Innovative AI-Enabled Medical Image Analytics Pipelines: Utilize languages like MATLAB, Python, or R to design, develop, and validate innovative AI-enabled medical image analytics pipelines that support the deployment of imaging biomarkers for drug discovery and development.
- Generate Key Biomarker Data-Driven Insights: Develop and deploy novel AI-ML based analytical pipelines that enable efficient data mining of big biobank datasets, generating key biomarker data-driven insights.
- Design and Implement Computational Models: Design and implement innovative computational models for deriving parametric maps from medical images, performing rigorous validation of the biomarkers with various test cases.
- PhD or Master's degree in Engineering, Computational Sciences, or Biomedical/Life Sciences, with a focus on research in medical image analysis.
- Hands-on research experience in implementing AI-based medical image analysis pipeline using languages like MATLAB, Python, or R.
- Proficiency in data analytics, visualization, and interpretation using Python or R.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn drug research and disease biology and develop appropriate imaging biomarker solutions to overcome challenges associated with drug discovery and development.
- A competitive salary of SGD 120,000 - SGD 180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
