Equipment Monitoring Role Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in developing and executing Condition Monitoring strategies for clients in Singapore.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, operate, and manage condition monitoring programs for equipment in chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas environments.
  • Configure and optimize vibration monitoring routes for rotating equipment within the plant as needed.
  • Collect routine and ad-hoc vibration data from equipment according to schedule.
  • Analyze vibration data, report anomalies, and provide recommendations.
  • Implement other condition monitoring solutions like thermography, ultrasound monitoring, and motion amplification.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain the equipment and vibration database using relevant software within the scope of the contract.
  • Perform vibration analysis, recommendations, and reporting.
  • Monitor key metrics on a periodic basis.
  • Understand customer needs, review installations, and make engineering proposals to optimize arrangements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this Equipment Monitoring Specialist role, you will need:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (ITE or Diploma).
  • 2-8 years of experience in the industry.
  • Technical skills including knowledge of rotating equipment used in oil & gas, petrochemical, or process industries.
  • Able to collect vibration data using portable vibration analyzers like Emerson 2140 or SKF.
  • Vibration Analyst certification on category 1 or 2 is preferred.
  • Exposure to condition monitoring techniques such as ultra-sound analysis, motion amplification will be an added advantage.
