Molex Singapore PTE. LTD., a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect components, is seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Project Engineer to join our team. This role plays a vital part in designing and developing high-speed custom automation electrical control systems that give us a competitive edge in the market.
About You
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in electrical engineering or technology, along with 3+ years of experience in control panel design and PLC programming. Your proficiency in Yaskawa NON-IEC PLC programming language will be valuable assets in this position. Additionally, you should have excellent project management skills and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include providing controls feasibility and equipment cost estimates to the automation development team. You will also work closely with mechanical engineers to determine design complete dates and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. In addition, you will specify control hardware, generate bills of material, design control panels and enclosures, create electrical and pneumatic schematics, and assist in executing machine debug, qualification, and installation. Furthermore, you will provide technical support during the launch of equipment produced by the LR-Automation Team, attend design reviews and PFMEAs, track projects using internal methods, develop accurate BOMs and spare parts lists, and follow internal product development procedures, TQM and IS/QS-9000 requirements.
Key Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess strong multitasking abilities, troubleshooting skills, manufacturing engineering knowledge, process capability understanding, alteration expertise, PLC programming skills, design for manufacturing knowledge, SPC understanding, assembly experience, scheduling skills, manufacturing knowledge, CAD skills, electronics understanding, Six Sigma knowledge, and the ability to work independently. If you have additional qualifications such as HMI programming experience, vision system expertise, scheduling and budgeting experience, design experience with electrical connectors or cable assemblies, or PC language programming skills, it would be a significant plus.
