Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Assistant in Jurong Island. This is a 1-year contract role that involves general administrative duties.

The working hours for this position are from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. We provide transportation from Jurong East, making it easily accessible for those living in the area.

This role offers a competitive salary package of SGD $1800 - $2200 per month.

Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Functions: The successful candidate will be responsible for scanning documents, updating data, sorting instruction manuals, filing, and other related tasks.
  • 5S and Housekeeping: They will also be tasked with maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including disposing of lab waste and implementing 5S principles.
  • Simple Lab Testing: In addition, they will perform basic laboratory tests as required.
Requirements:
  • NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology: A relevant diploma or NITEC certificate is mandatory for this position.
  • Training Provided: We offer comprehensive training to ensure our employees have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
Skills and Qualifications:

In order to succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Sampling: Experience in sampling and testing processes is highly desirable.
  • Ingredients: Knowledge of chemical ingredients and formulations is essential.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
  • Quality Control: You should have experience in quality control processes and procedures.
  • Housekeeping: Strong housekeeping skills are necessary to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Inventory: You should be able to manage inventory effectively.
  • 5S: Familiarity with 5S principles and practices is highly valued.
  • Waste Disposal: You should know how to dispose of lab waste properly.
  • Raw Materials: Knowledge of raw materials and their handling is essential.
  • Team Player: As a member of our team, you should be a team player who can work collaboratively with others.
  • Laboratory: Experience working in a laboratory setting is highly desirable.
  • Chemical Engineering: A background in chemical engineering or a related field is preferred.
