Professor of Physics Position in Singapore

Nanyang Technological University Singapore is seeking a distinguished professor of physics to join its Division of Physics and Applied Physics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the research and academic activities of the division.

About the Position

The position requires a Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area, with expertise in cutting-edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead research projects in the area of nanophotonics, particularly Deeply Subwavelength Superoscillatory Imaging (DSSI).
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in physics and related areas.
  • Supervise students and postdoctoral researchers.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area.
  • At least 15 years of experience in cutting-edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies.
  • Expertise in AI and deep learning.
  • Able to fabricate photonic devices using electron-beam lithography and focus ion beam.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain external grants and regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of journals.
