About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SRE Operations Senior Analyst to join our team at DBS Bank Limited. As a key member of our Enterprise Architecture & Site Reliability Engineering (EASRE) department, you will be responsible for effectively facilitating the Problem Management Process and demonstrating authority in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Management: Responsible for efficiently allocating time and resources during parallel major incidents and problem activities.
  • Problem Management: Point of contact for assigned incidents of higher severity, from incident retrospective calls to Management Report (MR) documentation and publishing.
  • System Management: Manage updates of systems such as problem management module, internal SharePoint, etc.
  • Process Improvement: Propose and participate in enhancement activities related to SRE, collaborate with Engineering Teams within EASRE and with LOBs on enabling activities as part of preventive measures.
  • Event Management: Develop event management process, metrics, and governance model, perform trend analysis on events to identify potential issues/incidents, consolidate and analyze noise alerts to zoom in on actual issues.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Leverage GenAl and real-time data feeds to produce post-incident reports, implement automatic root cause identification, reducing turnaround for RCA Reports, coordinate and automate incident thematic and trend analysis using AI/ML.
Requirements
  • Cloud Expertise: In-depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid cloud solutions, hands-on experience with popular CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Logging and Monitoring: Good exposure to logging and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELG/ELK.
  • Cloud Native Technologies: Good understanding of cloud native technologies like Containers, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Minimum 10 years of root cause analysis (RCA) exposure and involvement leading discussions as a problem manager or incident commander.
  • Incident and Problem Management: In-depth understanding of Incident and Problem Management functions and activities.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly effective documentation skills, ability to work with stakeholders and command centre in troubleshooting, escalating, and solutioning critical site incidents.
  • Event Management Tools: Proficiency in event management tools and platforms.
  • ITIL Practices: Familiarity with ITIL practices related to Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Event Management.
  • AI/ML Technologies: Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in incident analysis.
Desirable
  • Software Development Experience: Minimum 6+ years of software development or technical support or operations experience.
  • ITIL V4 Certification: Preferred ITIL V4 certification.
  • Trend Analysis and Forecasting: Trend analysis and forecasting skills.
  • Process Development and Governance: Experience with process development and governance.
  • GenAl or Similar Technologies: Familiarity with GenAl (Generic Algorithm) or similar technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Continuous improvement mindset.
